IFS/parts
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a therapeutic approach that views the mind as composed of distinct parts, each with its own perspective, emotions, and role. These parts often include aspects of self that exist for valid reasons (to protect us, or retreat from life), but do not work in our favor in adult life. IFS helps individuals build relationships with their parts, unburden wounded aspects, and restore balance. Rather than eliminating symptoms, it fosters understanding and integration, allowing people to respond to life with greater flexibility, resilience, and self-leadership. Internal Family Systems (IFS) is especially useful for a wide range of clinical presentations because it works with underlying emotional “parts” rather than just surface symptoms.
